OCMC News - Help Grow Our Worldwide Orthodox Christian Family with a Gift this Christmas!
Help grow our worldwide Orthodox Christian family with a gift of support to the Orthodox Christian Mission Center (OCMC) this Nativity. Your prayerful offering will help send more missionaries and mission teams into the mission field.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

“You are not alone!” This truth lies at the core of our understanding of the Church.

By supporting missions you have not only shared Christ’s hope of salvation but also the gift of togetherness.

In a letter to the Mission Center, Fr. Stephanos of Indonesia shared,

“I want to say a special thanks to OCMC who sent Niko and Menios and Roberta to Indonesia to live with us for a few days. We all are so happy, and our faith has become stronger because we feel not alone in the Orthodox Faith.”

This is what you as a part of the Orthodox Christian missions movement make possible. You, through your support of this mission of the Church, live your faith as a family and work to invite others to be a part of that family as well!

This is an incredibly special work, and one that is needed now more than ever! Please help grow our worldwide Orthodox family with a gift to the OCMC today!

As someone who believes deeply in living your Faith through missions, please consider supporting the work of the Mission Center this Christmas. Your gift will help send missionaries and mission teams to at least 12 different countries with this message and invitation. It will also help support our growing family by underwriting self-sustainability projects, medical outreach, construction of homes and schools, and much-needed relief.

Your gift will transform lives and serve as a strong statement of your support of Orthodox Christianity. This Nativity season, consider a recurring gift. It will make a difference for months and years to come!

Anything you are able to give will have a profound impact because of the work it makes possible. Of his time as part of a team to Uganda, Dn. Herman Fields reflected,

“Just the fact that a group of nine people from the United States came to share their own experiences and reflections demonstrated to us all that when we tell each other what we know, and what we struggle with, then solutions arise.”

As we gather with friends and family this Christmas to celebrate the Nativity of our Lord, let us remember that we are gathered not only in our homes or in our local parishes, but together around the world as One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church!

Thank you for growing and strengthening these family bonds with your prayerful offering towards international Orthodox missions!

Sincerely in Christ,

Fr. Martin Ritsi
Executive Director

PS – You can pray for this work! You can support it! You can also experience it! 2019 short-term mission teams are available, and we are accepting applications. If you are able, we invite you to come and see what your prayers and gifts have done in the world! Visit www.ocmc.org to learn more.

Prayer for Missions

God of truth and love: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Hear our prayer for those who do not know You. That they may come to a saving knowledge of the truth, and that Your Name may be praised among all peoples of the world. Sustain, inspire, and enlighten Your servants who bring them the Gospel. Bring fresh vigor to wavering faith; sustain our faith when it is still fragile. Continually renew missionary zeal in ourselves and in the Church, and raise up new missionaries who will follow You to the ends of the world. Make us witnesses to Your goodness full of love, full of strength, and full of faith for Your glory and the salvation of the entire world. Through the prayers of all the missionary saints, Have mercy on us and save us. Amen.
