New Zealand Catechists / Religious Education Teachers

 

Summary of Field Needs:

With the shortage of parish priests, lay leaders who are theologically trained are needed to support the mission parishes. These catechists would lead lay/reader services when clergy are unavailable, as well as lead classes/religious education programs for the parishes. Some experience with music ministry/chanting would be ideal.

Length of Assignment: 2 years; may renew.

Reports to: His Eminence, Metropolitan MYRON of New Zealand, and Archimandrite Meletios.

Demographic Notes: The Metropolis of New Zealand and Oceania is working to bring the Love of Christ to the people in the Island Nations of the Pacific and New Zealand.  For over ten years, they have been providing children and communities with an environment of love and support.
