On the 27th-28th of October 2012, priest wife Anastasia Cislaru of The Nativity of the Theotokos parish in Ucrainca, Moldova, organized the “Seminar for Life” for fighting against abortion. The seeds for this idea were planted when Preoteasa Anastasia participated with Christina Semon, OCMC Missionary, in the first priest wives’ retreat in June 2012, where a workshop was dedicated to small parish projects. After a few months of planning, Pt. Anastasia’s wish came true. The guest speaker for this event was Ana Maria Macuc, a school teacher and wife of a priest from Romania. The result of the event was beyond the organizer's expectations with an attendance of over 50 people from different professional backgrounds as well as students. Even more so, the active dialogue and involvement of the participants motivated them to continue to engage in this major issue in their local communities and with all those they come in contact with. Pt. Ana Maria gave a compelling presentation and, in addition, raised up other leaders in this village to carry on the message.
