OCMC is seeking clergy wives and women lay leaders to serve as part of an OCMC team that will plan and lead women's retreats in Albania from September17th to the 29th. Please prayerfully consider joining this team.
Here in the United States, clergy wives and women lay leaders lead some of the most vital ministries in the Church. In Albania, women are also serving as theologians, reaching out to children, ministering to families, and caring for those in need. They are integral to the Church’s continued growth in a country that saw the attempted abolishment of all religion just a few short decades ago.
This September, the Orthodox Christian Mission Center (OCMC) is sending a team of women to Albania to fellowship with their Albanian counterparts. They will plan and lead retreats aimed at further enriching the spiritual lives of women in the Church. These shared moments of prayer, reflection, and dialogue will serve to empower both American and Albanian participants to continue sharing the faith by offering a witness of truth and love in the world.
The potential fruits of this two-week mission are immense. Not only will American volunteers be able to see the amazing work being done in Albania, but they will have the opportunity to inspire and encourage these and other Albanian women toward continued spiritual growth and service in the Church.
Only two or three more volunteers are needed to make this team a possibility. Presbyteras, Matushkas, Khourias, women with a theological education, and women lay leaders are being asked to prayerfully consider their participation on this team. We realize that the time available for preparation and fundraising is short, but this is a very important mission. Please help make it possible.
