Shannon Todd

Missionary Serving at Project Mexico

Meet Shannon Todd

Shannon Todd

Shannon Todd entered the Orthodox church along with her family in 1997. She participated in a variety of spiritual formation and fellowship programs including youth camps, CrossRoad, OCF and young adult gatherings. She also has served as an OCMC Ambassador, Sunday school teacher and choir member for many years. Throughout her life, she was encouraged to draw closer to Christ through these programs while the friends and mentors she met within the Church always helped her stay connected, confirming the Orthodox faith for her personally.

Shannon has been blessed to be able to visit 14 countries in her lifetime, including multiple trips to Project Mexico and OCMC missions to Kenya, Guatemala, and Albania. Throughout all these experiences, and in seeking a career path, Shannon felt a growing desire to offer herself to serve Christ’s people in a greater capacity.

Shannon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (K-8) from Western Governors University and a CELTA (English-language teaching certificate). She helped students K-5 with reading skills as a paraprofessional for 3 years while completing her degree. She most recently served as a licensed teacher in a 4th grade classroom.

Shannon is so excited to be using her experience in education and youth programs to serve the boys and staff of Saint Innocent Orphanage as a youth mentor and tutor, as well as to aid the community there in ministering to the local people and visitors.
