Campus Ministry
Sweden
Make regular visits to university campuses across the five nations comprising the Metropolis (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, and Greenland), wherever there are Orthodox Christian students in attendance. Organize these students into Orthodox Christian Fellowship groups and act as a liaison between these student groups, local parishes, and the Metropolis. Ideal candidates for this ministry would also be (or plan to be) ordained to the priesthood in order to celebrate the holy sacraments with the students on or near local campuses. Plan outreach events in conjunction with parishes and the Metropolis targeting university students, including seminars, concerts, round-table discussions, trips/pilgrimages, networking events, and other social/educational functions. Create a network of Orthodox students to help advocate for campus initiatives, such as the teaching of courses in Orthodox Christian and Hellenic studies, modern and ancient Greek and the establishment of Orthodox Christian chapels on campus.
