Mr. Thomas Ingram

Serving in Mexico

Thomas grew up in Huntington Beach California in a Catholic family and had a catholic education up until college. While attending Catholic high- school, he and his family were actually participating more at Protestant churches as their Catholic faith seemed to have faded away. After his sophomore year at a Quaker University in Oregon he was church hopping not knowing what church was best for him and it was that summer after his sophomore year in college that he went on a 20 day trip with his school to Romania and Moldova to do short term mission work. It was on that trip that his Orthodox journey began, consciously anyway. Their mission group attended part of a liturgy at an Orthodox Cathedral in Romania and he walked away from that Church having enjoyed it and with questions. To make a long story short, he was baptized Orthodox two and half years later. In 2017 he applied for a summer homebuilding Internship at Project Mexico in Tijuana, Mexico, and after his summer interning there, he was asked if he could help Project Mexico with agricultural work after they found out he had some background experience in agriculture. So since June 2018, he has been living at Project Mexico, working on various tasks from crop development, property beautification, workshop management, etc.

Prayer for Missions

God of truth and love: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Hear our prayer for those who do not know You. That they may come to a saving knowledge of the truth, and that Your Name may be praised among all peoples of the world. Sustain, inspire, and enlighten Your servants who bring them the Gospel. Bring fresh vigor to wavering faith; sustain our faith when it is still fragile. Continually renew missionary zeal in ourselves and in the Church, and raise up new missionaries who will follow You to the ends of the world. Make us witnesses to Your goodness full of love, full of strength, and full of faith for Your glory and the salvation of the entire world. Through the prayers of all the missionary saints, Have mercy on us and save us. Amen.
