How to Organize a Watch Party!

• Invite fellow parishioners, friends, family, neighbors, or work colleagues to come together and learn about the work of Orthodox missions. 
• Host a small or large group of people you know. Consider various demographics of people: young, old, or those from diverse religious and ethnic backgrounds.

• Watch the presentation together at the parish hall or in your home. 
• Offer refreshments and snacks throughout the presentation. Maybe prepare a meal before or after the presentation.

• Participate in the virtual event by commenting in the chat. 
• Engage with the presenters during the event. 
• Submit questions for the Q&A.
• Let them know where you are tuning in from and say hello.

• Ask the group to support missions monetarily! 
• Christ calls us to go and make disciples of all nations. By donating towards the event, proceeds will help train and send more missionaries into the world. 

• Continue the conversation and build community. 
• Share with others what you learned.
• Send the video link to friends and family.
• Discuss how missions can guide your local parish ministries.

Guiding Conversation & Dialogue

• Prepare for formal dialogue or be more informal, allowing those gathered to guide the conversation spontaneously. 

• Invite your local priest to help facilitate conversation.

• Consider your group and identify some questions or sentence starters to encourage discussion.

• Here are a few conversation starters:

• What did you know about the work of missions before this event?

• What inspired you the most in the presentation?

• What connections do I/we have with stories shared by presenters?

• How might we as a group use this learning to grow our community?

• In what ways can I allow this presentation to help me grow spiritually?

• Are there lessons from Scandinavia that we can apply to our community?

• How might we work together to support Orthodox Missions around the world?
