C li>Course Description The Missiology of Archbishop Anastasios (Yannoulatos) of Albania and Practical Evangelism in Albania will be a 3 credit summer class. The course will study in depth the life, missiology and writings of Archbishop Anastasios of Albania and examine how he has practically lived out this missiology through his ministry in the Church of Albania. The course will look at the foundation and calling of missions. We will consider the resurrection of the Church of Albania over the past 20 years, examining and analyzing the successes of how the church has succeeded in living out the missiology of the Archbishop, and where the church has not yet lived up to this missiology. Part of the course will be devoted to a mission practicum where the students will travel to Albania for two weeks, witnessing the resurrection of the Church of Albania, meeting missionaries and the indigenous leaders, and participating in a evangelism program within the country. This mission outreach will focus on two university campuses around the country. Course Requirements Orthodox seminary students, who will participate in: 25 hours of in-class time (include 5 three-hour pre-trip classes, 4 two-hour classes while in Albania, and one two-hour follow-up class upon our return to the States) Two week mission practicum (May 23-June 5, 2010) with practical street evangelism at two sights (Tirana & Korca) Four Response Papers (2-3 pages) on the required readings Daily one page reflection while in the field (10 pages) Final Paper (10-12 pages)
