A ctive members of the Orthodox Church who are culturally sensitive and willing to offer a gift of service on a Mission Team are called to serve. Volunteer by teaching the Faith, offering youth ministry programs, contributing physical labor for construction projects and providing health care to the sick.
All hard workers wishing to participate and serve on the Orthodox Mission Teams ? professionals, students, retirees, priests, presbyteras, deacons, seminarians, health care personnel (doctors, dentists, nurses, counselors), teachers, youth ministry workers, engineers, construction workers, contractors, carpenters, painters, and all those willing to share in a journey of Faith ? are urged to apply today.
Everyone has skills to share and can be of great value to a Mission Team. Team projects include construction, restoration, teaching, medical, and evangelistic outreach. Qualifications include: - Completed Mission Team application with letter of recommendation from an Orthodox Priest;
- Active member of the Church;
- Spiritually mature individual with good social skills, motivated to learn and serve;
- At least 18 years of age, and in good physical health;
- All participants are expected to cover the costs of their participation;
- Participants travel on the scheduled Team dates.
Orthodox Mission Team members need to be patient, flexible, and capable of adapting to the difficult, unfamiliar, and many times uncomfortable realities of life in other cultures. |  |
