In cooperation with the Center for Family Care of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese, OCMC will be sending a family mission team to Albania in 2011. What do you think is an appropriate age for children (accompanied by adults) to participate on a team?

Fundraising for a Team

T
hough many people find themselves a little uneasy as they approach the challenge of raising their support, Team members have found, time and again, that God answers their prayers, and funding comes in miraculous ways. Fund raising takes a lot of personal effort, but this is an excellent way to involve the other members in your community in your mission team and to raise mission awareness.

Team members are expected to raise support in order to cover the cost to participate on an Orthodox Mission Team. Participants receive a fund raising packet with suggestions on ways to raise support. Team members are encouraged to create a network of support and invite others to participate through prayer and financial support.

OCMC encourages all Team members to raise funds and let others know that they will be sharing in the work of missions through their donations. Some are called to participate on a Team (to go); and others are called to send and support those sent (to pray, encourage and give).
