The spiritual needs of fifteen Orthodox communities who had no church to worship in brought the first Orthodox Mission Team to Kenya in the summer of 1987. Since the construction of a stone church in remote Kenya, Mission Teams have built churches, homes, schools, and a medical clinic. They also have conducted medical, teaching and other outreach programs.
Orthodox Mission Teams are a way to share the joy of Orthodox Christianity with the world. Mission Teams are groups of Orthodox Christians who share in a journey of faith, serving as witnesses to the Gospel of Christ.
