The Russell Family

eorge and Pauline Russell, along with Pauline’s mother Melanie Linderman, have served faithfully as missionaries in Albania since 2003. They work in a variety of ministries that bring the Gospel to the people of Albania. This includes the Orthodox Soup Kitchen that serves approximately 400 lunches per week to the poor in Tirana. The Soup Kitchen serves as a powerful witness of Christ’s love while providing a bridge for spiritual ministry and connection to the Church. George serves as the director of this ministry which has operated since January, 2005.

As Director of the Protagonist Elementary School Pualine works with Melanie, who assists in teaching English, to educate the young in a Godly environment. By modeling the Christian faith through the lives of the staff and teachers, they are helping to influence the next generation in Albania and its future leaders to effect positive changes in their society.

While ministries like the Soup Kitchen and Protagonist School are visible witnesses to the people of Albania, there is also the need for a witness to the growing number of upwardly mobile in their society. A door of opportunity was opened for George to use a web design and consulting enterprise to encourage Albanian professionals to provide financial and material support to the Soup Kitchen as well.
